SOSTE wanted to carry out the first nationwide communication campaign aimed at citizens. The aim of the campaign was to make the work of SOSTE’s member organisations visible and known, and to pay tribute to the 50,000 volunteers and employees working in over 200 member organisations.
We concept developed the Onneksi on joku (Fortunately There Is Someone) communication campaign, which highlights the work done in social and health sector organisations as well as the people doing the work. The campaign featured volunteers or employees from four social and health organisations who discussed their own work in the organisations. The campaign consisted of a campaign video, photos, magazine and social media adverts, text stories produced for the campaign website, and a #onneksionjoku social media campaign. During the communication campaign, the campaign video was played across Finland in all of Finnkino’s movie theatres.
We were responsible for the campaign’s concept and almost all of its content. The campaign received a positive and warm welcome. It brought the desired visibility to both SOSTE and the featured organisations. In particular, the campaign was praised for having a wide reach and reaching people outside the organisational field, while at the same time succeeding in empowering the people working in the organisations.
